All you Comcast customers get something from your provider. It seems that today that they’ve announced their new Streampix service for older content. Think of it as the Netflix for Comcast.

The service will be added to all Xfinity triple-play packages, as well as a monthly subscription service for only $4.99 a month. Further plans for the service is to make it available for Xbox 360 consoles and Android devices.

The new service will allow you to watch older seasons of current television series on either your TV, online platforms and mobile devices. This will be available for watching in and out of your home, which was never an issue, but you can watch it on multiple screens.

Out the gate, Comcast has licensing agreements with Disney-ABC Television Group, NBCUniversal, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and Cookie Jar. All of this will be available at some point during the week, but until they can allow live shows to be streamed out of the house, this is more Netflix. What do you guys think?
