It seems that there are a lot of hacks going on again. The latest one in the trend is Crytek. The Crysis developer took a number of their websites offline over the weekend following some “suspicious activity”, according to CVG.
“We recently became aware of suspicious activity relating to some of Crytek’s websites, and acted quickly to take those websites offline for security reasons,” said the firm in a statement via Blues News.
The sites that were affected included Crytek.com, Mycryengine.com, Crydev.net and MyCrysis.com. Nothing was known at press time just how bad the breach was or if the network was even compromised.
The firm says it is “working on getting all websites fully operational again as soon as possible”, but warns that account holders on crydev.net or mycrysis.com will be asked to change their passwords upon their return.
However, the following sites remain inline and are not affected by the breach: GFACE.com, Crysis.com and Warface.com. There is no word on when those other sites will be up and running again and we will let you know more when information develops.
