For those of you that have been watching Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. during season one, you got an exciting moment of seeing how the ending of Captain America: The Winter Soldier tied into the series. Now, as we get closer to the debut of The Avengers: Age of Ultron, we know they are going to do something to tie-in to the movie.
During an appearance on EW Morning Live on Entertainment Weekly Radio on Sirius FM, Agent Coulson himself revealed that next week they will receive the script that will bring the link between the movie and the television series.
“The fun thing about Marvel is that if there is a way to make the story connect, they’re all about that,” Clark Gregg told EW Morning Live on Entertainment Weekly Radio (SiriusXM, channel 105). “As someone who kind of knows the way these worlds connect, I feel like the stuff is there. There are some secrets going on in some of the episodes that even Coulson is keeping from people closest to him, that I’m hoping might be something that connects with that. But I won’t find out until we read that script next week.”
It should not be a surprise that there will be another major link between the movie and the series. While many people will think why does the television show promote the movie? It is the other way around. The series itself saw a nice boost as it approached its season finale with the Captain America tie-in.
Of course, we will have to see the episode before the film’s release to see how they manage to tie-in the film to the series and the week after to see if it will have a profound impact on the show like The Winter Soldier did for the series.
