As Avengers: Age of Ultron came out this past weekend, the news is quickly turning toward the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. With the roster of the characters growing, the recent interview from MTV stated that it is somewhat another Avengers movie.
“It’s to jump off into the next Avengers, the Infinity Wars. So Cap 3 is going to be kind of the setup for the real battle,” Chris Evans said.
The interviewer was asking a question, which if you’re a fan of the comic you already know, if they know what side they are on during Civil War. Jeremy Renner and Scarlett Johansson already know. However, the best moment came from Chris Helmworth and Mark Ruffalo’s reaction to stating that they are not in the movie.
If you have seen the movie, you know Banner is a bit MIA and Thor is heading back to Asguard, most likely to investigate the issue with the Infinity Stones. Not to mention there is another Thor movie to come out before the next Avengers movie.
Civil War will be a big movie to set up the next Avengers movie since there will not be another of this type until Thor, which is the last movie before the Infinity War. Between them is new character solo movies and the introduction of Spider-Man into the Marvel Universe. This phase should be interesting.
