Martin Freeman Joins Captain America: Civil War

It has become virtually impossible to keep anything under wraps in regards to casting new. For the last few days, we have been hearing news about who may become the new Spider-Man, yet Marvel managed to release some casting news that took everyone by surprise. It seems that the over-sized cast of Captain America: Civil War still has room to grow. The Marvel Cinematic Universe not only has Sherlock Holmes but it has John Watson as well.

Martin Freeman has been cast in an undisclosed role in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War film, or what some have dubbed it Avengers 2.5, which took many in the internet community completely by surprise. The film is slated for release a year from today and as it goes, there could be more room for the cast to grow.

According to current internet chatter and some confirmed casting, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Sebastian Stan (Bucky), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Elizabeth Olson, Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Daniel Bruhl (Baron von Zemo) and possibly the new Spider-Man. However, at the end of Age of Ultron, Don Cheadle’s character appeared as the new Avengers team but is not mentioned in the cast.

With the ever growing list of comic characters making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will the cast for many of the upcoming movies keep getting bigger? Possibly. However, with the cast of characters we can expect from Avengers: Infinity War, Joe and Anthony Russo will have lots of characters to play with.
