Steam Breaks its Own Concurrent User Record Yet Again

When you’re the top in the business of anything the only records to break are one’s you already set. Valve seems to love doing this and the recent concurrent users figure reflects that. The latest number to beat is more than 9.5 million users logged in at the same time.

The Steam and game statistics page notes the number peaked at 9,502,661 users around the middle of the day pacific time on May 10th. The usual suspects were listed as the most played games like Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive being the top two with Grand Theft Auto 5 taking the third spot from Team Fortress 2.

Just last March Steam broke the same record with 9 million users and before that 8.5 million in January. Seriously Valve, stop being so good at what you do, you’re embarrassing the others.
