Resident Evil Zero isn’t talked about too much when older games are brought up buy any GameCube fan would be happy to tell you all about it. On a console that had mostly kid-friendly titles on it Resident Evil Zero filled a void for those a bit older. Released in 2002, the game was a prequel to original Resident Evil and was later ported to the Wii in Japan in 2008 and in North America in 2009 under the Resident Evil Archives label.
Well now it’s going to be ported again however this time with an HD remaster. Dengeki Online lists Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster as an upcoming title to release in Japan. No pricing information or release date was mentioned however at least we know it will actually happen.
The real question now is if it will ever hit the west. The game was successful for what it was and Resident Evil fans the world over would love to run through it yet again I’m sure. We’ll just have to wait and see on this one.
