If you played 2013’s Tomb Raider, you know just how great that game was. Since then, it had been on the bubble as to whether it would see life as a sequel or not. Last year, at E3, Microsoft announced that the sequel to the original game would be coming out and be an Xbox exclusive. As you can see by the trailer above, Microsoft is taking full advantage of it. Will it increase sales? Doubtful but it is worth a shot.
Rise of the Tomb Raider picks up where Tomb Raider left off. Trinity is covering up the supernatural experiences Lara Croft had on the island of Yamatai. In order to prove she’s not insane, Lara begins searching out the truth behinds various myths and legends from around the globe. In Rise of the Tomb Raider, with the help of Jonah Maiava, Lara travels to Siberia in search of the ancient city of Kitezch, which she believes to hold the secret to immortality, but Trinity isn’t far behind.
As you can see in the trailer, there is no gameplay trailer for the game. However, they are planning to release the gameplay trailer during this year’s E3, which is two weeks away on June 15th. Rise of the Tomb Raider will be released just in time for the 2015 holiday season. Are any of us surprised by that?
