Warner Bros. Cancels Batman: Arkham Knight Collector’s Edition

It was recently announced that Batman: Arkham Knight was going to be getting a Collector’s Edition. Pre-orders were made for a pretty solid looking collection which featured an artbook, comic, skin pack and a transformable Batmobile statue.

Well they just cancelled it.

Kotaku reports Warner Bros. has decided to pull the Collector’s edition just a week before the games release claiming quality issues with the product to be the issue. Those that pre-ordered are receiving cancelation notices from retailers in the United States, Europe and Australia.

Warner Bros. has promised the New 52 skin pack free of charge for those that had pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition. The skin pack comes with skins for Batman, Robin and Nightwing. It’s not exactly the same thing but at least it’s something.

Quality issues with a product can be a make or break situation. However, anyone who expected this Collector’s Edition should have every right to be upset that they aren’t going to receive it.
