The lovely (yes I’m a fan) Emma Stone was up for the new all-female Ghostbuster team but turned the roll down. Stone has told The Wall Street Journal why she turned down the Paul Feig’s directed reboot.
“The script was really funny,” she said. “It just didn’t feel like the right time for me. A franchise is a big commitment – it’s a whole thing. I think maybe I need a minute before I dive back into the water.”
Stone recently came off the Amazing Spider-Man franchise. Due to Marvel’s deal with Sony to produce a new Spider-Man in the Marvel universe.
The reboot film will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones. Cecily Strong and Chris Hemsworth will also be along for the ride. Original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd recently said the script is funny and “hits the right notes.”
