As we are in the final hours before the release of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Knight, there is something you should know when you pop that bad boy into your console: it’s going to have a pretty heavy update. As with many games, there is always a day one patch that installs when you load the game initially but this one will give you quite a few things.
GameSpot is reporting that the patch will come in a 3.5GB. Yeah, that may not be that big comparatively but it is about the size of a Grand Theft Auto game. PlayStation Lifestyle is reporting that the patch will contain some of the following improvements/support:
- Improved Performance
- Stability Fixes
- New feature: Rival Points
- New feature: Original Batsuit skin available to select
- Support for “A Matter Of Family” additional content (this is the preorder-exclusive prequel DLC)
- General gameplay, graphical, audio, UI, and localization fixes
This is something to keep in mind if you are rushing out to those after-hours releases, so you can plan your gameplay accordingly. I may be able to sneak in a post of two while the update is downloading and installing.
