Sony has released the 2.55 system software update for the PlayStation for which stands to address the overall stability of the console. The 233 MB update isn’t really adding any new features but smoothing out some of the consoles new bits from the 2.50 update.
The 2.50 update some big changes like the ability to suspend applications in rest mode which allowed gamers to instantly go back to their game when they turned the console back on. The ability to back-up data to a USB storage device and upload clips to Dailymotion are a few new features that were also added.
The 2.55 update will improve on the stability of what 2.50 already brought. So sure, its not the most exciting update but it’s still a good thing to have.
