Ron Perlman is Not interested in Doing Hellboy 3, but Will Do it If He has too

It’s a rare moment when a celebrity tells you the truth. This sort of unfiltered information is usually filter through studios and publicists (as well as the media itself) before you ever hear it. Ron Perlman, Hellboy himself, is known however to tell it like it is.

/Film has reported that Perlman is pushing for Hellboy 3 to become a reality even though he doesn’t really want to do it. The fact is Perlman feels he’s obligated to do it to wrap up a story.

“Let me make the record clear,” he said. “I don’t want to do Hellboy 3. It’s a pain in the ass to put that makeup on and take it off. But I feel we’re obligated to finish the story. That’s it. End of conversation.”

He goes on to explain why he’s being so pushy about it and proves that he’s not the type to take no for an answer. “We’re in the business of moving mountains. Those of us who are used to working in mainstream film and television,” he said. “Don’t come to me with details and problems. Just tell me how we move the mountain.”

Of course just because Perlman is saying he wants something to happen doesn’t mean it will. Director of the series Guillermo del Toro once said he asked “basically every studio” for funding and they all turned him down. Hellboy fans can still dream though.

  1. That doesn’t make any sense! This is the time to be making as many comic book movies as you can because they are super popular. It would be nice to have her boy wrapped up in theaters best of luck to Guillermo and Perlman
