@crazyherb9 The MP update (includes map content) is 9GB.

It seems like launch day patches are becoming the norm for top shelf games these days. Halo 5: Guardians is no exception to this trend with a 9GB patch required for download on it’s opening day.
In a recent Twitter update from studio head Josh Holmes the size of the patch was revealed including its purpose. The patch will feature updates to the multiplayer side of the game including map content. Now the size of the patch makes a little more sense at least.
While big patches are annoying on the first day you have to give developer 343 Industries some credit here. The last Halo game they released, The Master Chief Collection, had some legendary multiplayer issues for a while after it launched. One could assume they are trying to avoid this from happening again and polishing everything down to the wire.
For those that are impatient remember if you pre-order a digital copy of the game from the Xbox Store your Xbox One will download the game early and in turn automatically download the update when it becomes available.
