It seems that rumors were abound on Wednesday that the teaser trailer for Captain America: Civil War would appear before Spectre. While many sites were taking this rumor at face value, since Spectre is perceived to be a huge moneymaker this year, but Collider has another source on the matter. They are claiming inside sources that Civil War will not be attached to Spectre but to a film about a galaxy far, far away.
According to the site, they have sources claiming that Disney is putting all its money behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens. When you think about it this does make a lot of sense. Given that both Star Wars and Marvel are Disney properties, and since Star Wars is predicted to be the biggest hit of the season and maybe the year, it would like to have the biggest audience to view it.
The site is, also, referring to an account that is listed at “Russo Brothers” but not verified by Twitter. They claim that the image below could be a tease as to indicate when their Civil War film would debut. Not sure how they made this conclusion but the site claims a reader associates the star from Captain America and the artwork from Star Wars.
If you can make that association, more power to you. However, it makes sense that Disney would put all its money behind what will be the biggest movie of the holiday season. Not to mention, December is a lot closer to the May release date than November is. Captain America: Civil War is slated to hit theaters on May 6th, 2016.
