World of Warcraft: Legion is coming next year and based on what we’ve seen so far it looks very interesting. In typical Blizzard fashion the video shown at BlizCon (above) is impressive and heavy on story. Alliance and Horde working together? Madness!
A soft release date has been set for September 21, 2016, but the battle.net does say “Game is expected to release on or before” that date. Pre-purchases are already available of course (link at the bottom of this page) and details are all over the official webpage.
The level cap is being razed to 110 with a “boost to level” 100 for one character coming with the expansion. This makes sense since boosting to level 90 was included with Draenor. The new mythic weapon system is being introduced which will allow for customizable weapons of lore to be used against those pesky Legion. A new Hero Class, the Demon Hunter, is being introduced as well.
For those that opt in for the Digital Deluxe Edition you’ll get a few extras spanning multiple Blizzard titles. For World of Warcraft the Illidari Felstalker Mount as well as a Nibbles Pet will be included. Heroes of the Storm players will get a Felstalker mount of their own, Diablo III players get a pair of the Wings of the Betrayer, and StarCraft II players get a couple of portraits.
Head over to Battle.net to pre-purchase the upcoming Legion expansion and be sure to watch the video at the top of this article.
