Microsoft Reminding Free Windows 10 Upgrade Ending Soon

For those of you that have been annoyed by the constant prompts from Microsoft to upgrade your PC to the new Windows 10 operating system, good news: it will end soon. However, it won’t be an easy month as Microsoft will make a last ditch effort to get everyone to switch over for free until the offer ends on July 29th.

With all that being said, Microsoft has resorted to full-screen prompts to remind you that, if you have not upgraded yet, you only have a few more weeks before you will be charged $129 for the new OS. All you Windows 7 and 8.1 users will get the message below. Let’s be honest for a moment, at least, they are apologizing for the disruption.

According to The Verge, if you have been having issues with installing the new operating system, upgraded and then downgraded or are incompatible you should not see the full-screen prompt. So there is a saving grace there.

It is always good to upgrade to a new operating system in general, especially since it is free. However, people that run Windows 8.1 hate that OS, you should run Windows 10 since it is what Windows 8.1 should have been. However, if you are in the market for a new PC, then wait until you get one.
