Rogue One Expansion Added to Battlefront Before Theatrical Release

Even though Star Wars Battlefront was released nearly a year ago, they are still rolling out DLC for the game. As we know it, this would be the final expansion pack for the game, Rogue One: Scarif, will drop on December 6th, which is nearly two weeks ahead of the film, Rogue One, will be released in theaters.

A free PlayStation VR mission for the game will be launched on that day, as well, according to Polygon. Obviously, both sets of downloadable content will be based on the film. This is the final release for the season pass of the game, which adds four new map sets on Scarif, as well as characters Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) that will be a playable character, and the villain Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn).

The free PSVR-compatible X-Wing VR mission will allow players to play as an X-Wing fighter pilot in a virtual reality. This game will be available to all owners, not just season pass holders. That makes perfect sense as they really want to advertise the whole VR experience.  A sequel to the game is expected in the fall of 2017 and let’s hope they can manage to improve on many of the elements of the original game – like adding a single-player campaign.
